Ok the pads don't stay put on the handle and it seems some pads just don't have enough soap to do the job. Cute idea but a big waste of money! Did good on my tub ring and ok on soap scum. all in all I thought it was really only effective on the bottom part of the tub. not the walls. just seemed expensive and more of a novelty.

I love this stuff. I use it on sinks, tubs and toilets. It really gets to the stains. I notice that it doesn't pay to scrub hard. Instead, wet surface and sprinkle with BKF. Use a wet sponge to rub to cover the surface and let sit for a few minutes. Then simply use a wet sponge to "buff" out the stains. It did wonders on a scratched porceline sink in a customers house i've done recently. She was absolutely amazed at the results. She went on about how she's used comet and bleach ...

I love comet spray's smell. I've used it for years to freshen up a bathroom just wiped down the sink and counter. Not really that great of a cleaner otherwise. Whenever I've used it to clean my shower I can feel a sticky film on my arms and neck. So I just use it to freshen the bathroom. Don't use to clean up the floor. It's very sticky.

My cleaning secret for floor cleaner....

Zep no rinse floor cleaner is great in many ways.

1. hospital grade disinfectant

2. dilute in bottle for all purpose cleaner

3. works great

4. smells fresh

5. kills mildew

6. mops and rags won't stink

It's great. I clean houses for a living and i use a string mop. For years I would have that smell, that mildewey smell in the car. You know from having that wet mop steaming in the trunk! Well i discovered zeps no rinse floor cleaner a few years ago and stuck with it because ...

Have you used these yet. They are awesome. They trap the dust and one goes a long way. When dirty just toss in the trash. they reallly reach into spots that a regular rag or even professional dusters just won't go. Also great for flat panel tv's and computer screens! Safe, soft and effective! And it's kinda neat watching the color change to brown you can really see the dust your removing from your home.

The very best and what i believe to be safest all purpose cleaner for your kitchen is some dishsoap in a cute spray bottle. Fill the bottle up with water and put a drop or two of liquid dishsoap and turn upside down 3 or 4x. Spray and wipe anything from counters, cabinets, floors and even glass and mirrors. If your glass or mirrors streak too bad then you have too much soap in the bottle. remember it's very concentrated. So use just a little. Dish soap is gentle and you use so little that rinsing ...

I went outside to do the windows on this million dollar house and decided to start with the biggest window they had. Which happened to be their kitchen window over the sink.
Here are some of my favoriet cleaning quotes. Thought I would share them here!

Rosanne Barr

I hate the word housewife; I don't like the word home-maker either. I want to be called Domestic Goddess.

I will clean house when Sears comes out with a riding vacuum cleaner.

Erma Bombeck

My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint. Erma Bombeck

I've recently read in a few places online not to mix bleach and mold. something about releasing spores into the air. Does any one have any knowledge on this? please share with me. health and safety are important to me. I don't usually use bleach for anything but laundry but this seems like a biggy to me.

My first job at age 16 was with Merry maids, followed by Molly maids, then smaller, alpa maids, and so on. Most times I felt that my bosses new nothing about cleaning. or safety or health for that matter. I've been baffled about using oven cleaner to clean showers, or floor cleaner on well, everything! I've argued with bosses about the bleach in comet powder and mixing those rags with windex rags. that to me is a no brainer.

So in 2003 I decided to start cleaning independantly. I started ...

I have 2 simplicity vacuums.

My first one is a simplicity freedom and is light wieght similar to the oreck but more stylislh.

I've really loved this vacuum. I do miss the pocket that the oreck vacs have to store bags, belts, brushes.

It's light wieght and does the job though. I've had mine and use it professionallly it has never let me down.

My second simplicity 7th series. It is heavy duty. made of the same plastic they make foot ball helmets out of. And i can say that I have ...

Always vacuum, sweep, or dust mop floors before you mop. If you have pets with lots of hair I recommend vacuuming with a hand vac first.

For hardwood floors I recomment a flat mop. Make sure the cloth is wet and spray and wipe as you go. A spray bottle with a dash of dish soap or floor cleaner works fine.

All other floors I perfer string mops. You can use your foot on the material to scrub touch spots. It also reaches easily under furniture and around table legs. I use my foot to make ...

Here is a wonderful way to interest children in getting involved in cleaning house. Frum scrubbing tubs and toilets to dusting and mopping!

Kids love gadgets. So to keep their interesst my kids use disposable cleaning products. First you need a bucket for about $3. Everything can be purchased at walmart, kmart, target, and most drug stores. I look for sales and generic brands. Always scan for couupons and check the products websites for printable coupons as well.

With the big cleaning company's using a spray and wipe technique I can tell you that rinsing was not done.

Use it on a scrubby to clean dishes of coarse but also your tub, toilet and sinks. I also like dawn because I know that wildlife rescue use it to clean animals safely and effectively. they also now have dawn essentials which is hypoallergenic! great for sensitive skin.

Streak free stainless steel?

Now I've recently discovered Bar keepers friend. And I can not tell you how great it cleans stainless steel appliances! You really have to see it your self. I sprinkled a little on a wet sponge, wiped down the fridge, sprayed with a little water and dish soap and wiped dry. Worked better than anything i've ever tried. And very cheap!

Bkf works great for cleaning but usually stainless appliances just need to be shined. I use pledge. Works and smells great. A little goes along way too.

How to get rid of soap scum?

I use dish soap on a wet sponge. Cover the entire area with suds. Let sit for a minute or two and then scrub off and rinse! Easy as pie! And safer than traditional cleaning chemicals that are harsh in smell. Plus i like the idea of not spraying all that chemical in the air for me to breath and cover my skin with!

This really is good for weekly cleanings. When you clean less frequently you may need to use a magic eraser. I've found that walmarts generic brand works just as good and is cheaper.
